New Stuff

We made it to the house last night, about 6:15pm. We made really good time with the trailer and I was able to run at about 70-75 or so. We just got done unloading the trailer and I'm about to go get lunch. Sayonara suckers!

Clinton, MS

We made it to Clinton, MS. We should be in Texas tomorrow.

By the way, I'm sitting in Lake City, FL with my grandpa, and we've got the trailer and the truck all loaded up with his stuff. We're making pretty good time, but tomorrow we'll have to see about.

We spent last night at my grandpa's neighbor's house. I hooked up the tv, xbox 360, and dvd/vcr for them last night. The neighbor spent 2 and a half months trying to hook it all up and I did it in about 2 minutes.

Spent all day today loading the truck and trailer and then I drove about two hours to where we are now. I'm enjoying the nice a/c and the wireless high speed internet. More to come tomorrow.

ENOUGH!

OK, it was bad. Yes, the kid was crazy enough to kill 31 and injure more. ENOUGH! We don't need to come up with a way to determine how someone is going to think! This is ridiculous. How does some shit head news anchor think he's got the right to say what America should do? What happens to our bill of rights than? Reasonable Doubt?

A cop can say, "Well, I think you're gonna break that window, just because you're staring at it, so we're going to arrest you." They can stop, question you because you look suspicious, and then let you go if you're OK. These news anchors are retards because they keep talking about new gun laws and gun control. We have appropriate gun laws right now, if not a bit strict. This "kid" went to a gun shop, filled the paperwork out, used 3 forms of id and even bought his weapons 30 days before this incident. He obeyed the law until he went on a shooting spree. So, therefore, it was not the system that was wrong, HE was wrong.

I'm getting sick and tired of this constant coverage and these talking heads that have no clue what they're saying.

Saraland, Al

We're at a Holiday Inn Express that doesn't allow pets, so we had to smuggle my grandfather's toy chihuahua into the room. I hate hotels that do that. We made it here in pretty good time, so it's all good. We've got about 400+ miles to go tomorrow, so we should get there in the afternoon tomorrow.

Election

I'm not a democrat, so I wasn't gonna vote for Obama, but honestly, how can you Democrats back someone like that? You seriously think that YOUR candidates are so wonderful? Edwards is using his wife for votes, and don't say he's not. Clinton (Hillary) is just a douche and I hope she does run so she can be embarassed. If our politicians in general cannot wake up and realize that they are ruining our country, I'm afraid to say that it might be time to remove the politicians and reelect new ones.

Don Imus was fired yesterday. It's amazing to me that this country, the land of the free, has gotten so bad that a person on a radio show that's been doing radio for 40 years, is fired because of a throwaway comment. Nappy headed hoe is NOT derogatory. We have to protect ALL speech, even hateful racist speech. That's the idea behind this country. All speech, as long as it doesn't incite a riot (such as the Who concert when someone shouted fire) needs to be protected. If you listen to the O&A show, you'll hear them talk about that all the time, especially Jimmy Norton who is awesome. They had Patrice O'Neal on and he said that black people want a double standard. They want to be able to say the "n" word, but they don't want us to be able to say it. For Don Imus to be fired is ridiculous and I cannot believe that Barack Obama would just leap on it like some idiot.

Florida

So I have to go to Florida with my grandfather to help him move his stuff back up here. This looks to be an enjoyable trip (right) and I'll get to see my ex-step-grandmother (joy!). I'll be gone for about 5 or 6 days, so yeah.

I had an interview yesterday with Thousand Trails, and I think it went pretty good. I tried to sell myself as best as I could. Hopefully, they hire me.

It sucks....Go figure.

Computer.....issues?

Whoever said credit and banks were a good idea needs to be dragged into the street and shot. I hate the way banks and credit card places act. It's like they're out to get you!

Anyway, I've been having fun with iTunes and windows 2000. Sarah has received a new to her computer and I installed the beloved iTunes on it and it caused the system to bsod continuously. I believe we've fixed it for now, but we'll find out with time.

BSOD's kept going, upgraded to xp pro, still threw errors. Reformatted, reinstalled xp pro, no errors. Crazy shit, eh?

Well, I've been having issues with Firefox hanging and locking up on me when I type. I've finally figured out what it might have been. I had 9000+ javascript sessions stored in my profile and apparently, firefox don't like that. Well, keep an eye on those .js sessions in your profile and make sure to keep them at a certain limit. Now, I'm finally able to type as fast as I normally do, which is reasonably fast, minus my own limitations from never being formally taught to type. I figure I do pretty good, but hey, you never know.

Well, it's official. I'm taking a leave of absence from Lisa Motor Lines and I'm gonna see what I can find locally. I don't relish the idea of a desk job, but I need something stable so that Sarah and I can have a meaningful relationship. The new update of firefox is buggy as hell by the way. I can barely type because it's so friggin slow.
